Alex Hardy

Hello there!

If you build it, they will come.

So some bloke said once…

I guess this an experiment, on a couple of levels. I’m a web developer by day, and like everyone else who fancies themselves creative, I’ve been prone to the odd Grand Vision while having a pint.

I’ve not spent all my time sat around in my pants procrastinating, nosir. I’ve done quite a few projects this last couple of years. I look around though, and find that the people I admire professionally are the likes of Jeffrey Zeldman, Ryan Carson and Shaun Inman.

So I think to myself, can I use the ideas and skills that I have, and do something of my own? Create some nifty little app and earn fame, adulation and who knows, maybe even some actual money?

I reckon it’ll take about six months to put together something worthwhile, so *counts fingers*, that’d be next Spring. How does April 1st sound?

Apt?

No doubt I’ll get round to the usual blogging business of ranting about this and that - I may even post some useful things too. Whether my dribblings are worth reading, I leave to you to decide.

Good luck! You’re a bright young fella, buckets of creativity and style so you don’t want for the raw ingredients for making something happen.

Nice little blog, “we will watch your career with great interest”.

    Why, thank you!

I can’t take credit for the design of the page, since this is a standard WordPress theme. The gradient at the top though was carefully chosen.

If this site proves itself either busy (I’ve added my first plug-in, for Google Analytics) or useful, I’ll take a look at giving it a lick of paint.

For now though, I’m more interested in sussing out the PayPal shopping cart :)

Comments are welcome. Keep it friendly and on-topic please.
