Hello there!

Crysis is looking incredible

Have a look at the latest trailer. Mac users should download the Flip4Mac WMV components for QuickTime.

Wow. That’s a bit impressive, no? When its hardware requirements mean that PC sales don’t deliver an acceptable return on its development costs to Electronic Arts, I look forward to playing the (unconfirmed) Xbox 360 port.

Argh! Would like to watch it, but….the WMV content appears to be encoded with some unsupported format that Flip4Mac will not read. Hate that….just don’t know why providers can’t stick with one format that works. The F4M people keep updating to include compatibility with all these offshoots, but that takes time.

Anyway…if you hear of another link that offers it in a “real” WMV format, post it.

That’s strange… I’m using QuickTime 7.0.1 and Flip4Mac 2.1.0.33 (which I downloaded the other day having been unable to play the video).

When I go to the page in Firefox, the WMV content launches into QT player.

I’ll keep an eye out for a version in a more friendly format :)

Ahh….it DOES work in Firefox. Flip4Mac launches the player and all is well. Must be some weird Safari thing.
    Interesting trailer….graphics looks pretty awesome.

Comments are welcome. Keep it friendly and on-topic please.
